KNOWLEDGE IS NOTHING WITHOUT SKILL
You know a lot about how to coach.
But how do you put it into practice?
Download the Coaching Competency Indicator: a self-assessment covering the 6 core coaching skills, and a guided audio training to help you turn what you know into what you actually do in sessions.
The biggest transformations with clients don't require fancy methods. Transformations happen through powerful conversations.
I used to feel like I needed to have all the answers. Now I feel a lot more comfortable handling difficult conversations - including the fat loss ones, which as a fitness coach I used to find really tricky.
The feedback I've been getting from clients says it all: "Thank you for helping me feel safe to share." "Thank you for accepting all of me." "You've been helping me change my life in the most empathetic and supporting way."
This is the kind of impact I wanted to have.

You've spent years learning about coaching.
Reading research, taking courses, building your knowledge base.
But when you're in a session with a client who keeps asking for fat loss and you know that's not what they need, or you're stuck with someone who's not following through no matter what you try...
None of that knowledge tells you what to do.
It's your coaching skills that turn information into practice: from knowing what, to knowing how.
And no one taught you that part.
The Coaching Competency Indicator is a self-assessment covering the 6 core coaching skills that turn what you know into what you actually do in sessions.
Download it, find out where you stand, then work through the audio training to understand what each competency looks like in practice and where most coaches get stuck.

Meet your instructor
Hi, I'm Shannon - a nutritionist and compassion-focused coach with a diploma in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and 7 years of experience working with coaches and clients in the health and fitness space.
When I first became a coach, I was pretty alarmed to realise just how many of my clients were struggling with their body image and relationship with food. I knew my nutrition qualification was not enough to help.
I spent a lot of time filling the gaps, studying in:
- Motivational Interviewing
- Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy
- Interpersonal Neurobiology
- Compassionate Mind Facilitator Training
- Functional Analytical Psychotherapy
Not to mention countless online courses, workshops and conferences.
And still I worried whether I was actually helping people, not knowing what I was missing, scared to cause harm.
It wasn't until I studied a diploma in CFT and found supervision that I finally felt supported in my work.
Why had nobody taught me this from the start?!
That's why I built the Coaching Competency Indicator.
You don't need to become a therapist to help your clients, but you do need to be skilled.
